In previous posts we mentioned how Bad MLS Photos may keep buyers away from your home now here is what you need to do when the buyer heads to your front door.
Make sure they aren’t turned off immediately by what they see when they open the door. In this case it was a ripped screen, dirty door and well worn door handle. The entire storm door was flimsy and this was on a house with a price tag over $400,000.
Even though the house had a new kitchen and updated bathrooms, we found multiple damaged screens, dirty windows and piles of dead tree limbs in the yard. The buyers started adding up the costs of all the things that hadn’t been done and they far outweighed the work on the rest of the house.
If you are considering selling your Northern Virginia homes this spring give me a call to talk to help you make the right decisions about how to get your home ready to sell. Let’s make sure a buyer walks away with a smile after touring your home.
