A new condominium community is underway on the banks of the Occoquan River near Belmont Bay and the Potomac River. Created by IDI the developer who has brought a number of luxury developments to the Northern Virginia area including the Watergate Hotel in DC, the Rotonda in McLean, Carlyle Towers in Old Town Alexandria and Leisure World in both VA & MD to name a few, Rivergate is being touted as the next luxury development in our area.
Planned as a gated community with its own landscaped grounds, a 10,000 square foot clubhouse and marina located just off of I-95 at the Woodbridge exit. Within a few minutes owners will be able to get to Old Town Occoquan, Mason Neck State Park and the VRE to DC.
There are plans for three 15 story buildings all with view of the river, or the wooded hillsides of Woodbridge. IDI projects are known for there incredible attention to detail and finishes that are usually upgrades in other developments. The project is scheduled to take up to 7 years to complete and the first condos should be delivered in 2008.
With the addition of the IDI project the face of northern Prince William County continues to change. From an area that once was known more for strip malls than luxury living now major waterfront development has taken hold. With the neighborhood of Belmont Bay on the east side of Route 1 and Rivergate on the west side the area is now thriving.
