But you are a Realtor® isn’t it your job to sell me something? Absolutely not! If you sign a buyer agency agreement with me my job is to make sure that you are educated on the home buying process, understand what the loan documents you are signing mean (with the help of a mortgage professional) and make sure that your interests are protected when you write a contract.
So what is the process? Actually it is a relatively simple circular process. We start with an initial consultation to discuss your needs and make sure that we are a right fit to work together. Once I have an understanding of what you are looking for and help you find a mortgage professional, then we can get serious about looking for a home.
During the research phase you are looking through listings, investigating neighborhoods and I am providing you with more details about the properties that most interest you. Once you have selected the property that best fits your needs we evaluate all of the information that we have gathered specifically about that property and work with the mortgage professional to make sure that you are straight on financing. Based on everything we have gathered I will make a recommendation to you on how best to write an offer on the property that you have selected.
You most likely are not going to buy the first house you see (though it does happen) so we may go through some or all of this process multiple times until you find the right home. The good news is that all along the way you have someone who is looking out for your best interests NOT someone who is only interested in SELLING you a home.
So if you are ready to get started you can call me today and while you’re here through my blog to read other articles I have written about our local area.
